GS Saver — Free Preset & Macro Saver for DaVinci Resolve Studio
Save, Organize & Reuse Your DaVinci Resolve Fusion Presets in Seconds
Tired of losing your custom Fusion effects and macros? GS Saver is a free utility script for DaVinci Resolve Studiothat lets you instantly save any Fusion composition as a reusable .setting preset — complete with an auto-generated thumbnail preview — directly from the Edit page or Cut page. No need to switch to Fusion.
How It Works
Select any clip carrying a Fusion effect, launch GS Saver from Workspace → Scripts, and hit Detect. The script grabs the Fusion comp from your timeline clip, lets you name it, choose a destination folder, and saves it as a clean .setting file with a 104×58 px PNG thumbnail — ready to drag and drop onto future projects.
Key Features
- Edit Page Compatible — Works directly from the Edit and Cut pages. Select your clip and run. No need to open the Fusion page.
- One-Click Detect — Automatically detects and extracts the Fusion composition from the selected timeline clip.
- Auto Thumbnail Generation — Creates a 104×58 px PNG preview image for every saved preset so you can visually browse your library.
- Custom Folder Organization — Type any folder name to sort your saved presets into organized directories.
- Branded UI — Clean, professional interface built with Lua UIManager that matches the DaVinci Resolve dark theme.
- Lightweight & Fast — Pure Lua script with zero dependencies. Installs to your Scripts/Utility folder and runs instantly.
